Where was Poldark filmed?

Poldark wrapped its tale of mines, moors and tangled romance in some of the most cinematic coastline in England, and the show's brooding sense of place is no studio illusion. In Cornwall, the Georgian harbour of Charlestown, with its tall ships still moored, stands in for the 18th-century ports of the series almost unchanged. The clifftop engine houses of Botallack Mine, clinging to the very edge of the land, are Poldark's Wheal Leisure, the mine at the heart of his fortunes, while the wide surf beach of Holywell Bay, with its twin rocky islets, is the sand he gallops across in the title sequence.
